EMTs aren't trained in things like stitches, sutures, and anything other than keeping someone alive until they get to a doctor. A combat medic needs to be that doctor until we get someone else in. I'm good at putting people back together, but I refuse to do it in any long term sense. I can also likely set you up with a back room cutter and see if they can't teach you more.
