I will eventually need to have a work space at home to do my 'assignments' and the dining room is not suited to my work. I would like to ask if you would be opposed to Maine and I converting the small, relatively unused work bench area in the basement to suit my purposes.

It will enable me to keep dangerous things easily away from the little ones.
