He doesn't like my new job.

And then he did the thing where I said one thing -that his degree was a waste of time, and he decided to assume I meant the absolute worst -that everything he's done was a waste of time. Now he gets to run off and get everyone to console him and tell him he didn't do anything wrong and I'm just a horrible human being. I mean, I can kind of see where he's a little upset that I didn't mention this earlier, but for someone who talks about how great he is with money, he certainly didn't have any clue what to do after graduation.

So let him go sulk, I draw the line at his pride making us starve.

He hasn't gone to sulk. He's gone. Like Alpha, but he left a note.

He's not coming back. He's left us.

That's ridiculous. He's just off to sulk. He'll come back later. How many times has he accused us of wanting to take off? That's just the worst punishment for me he could think of. But it won't stick.

His clothes are gone. His shoes are gone. All of them. He left me a list of doctor's phone numbers and teachers and appointments.

He's not coming back. Can't you have the decency to tell me why I'm losing a brother again? What happened to set him off?

I got a new job. He doesn't like it. I told him I had to take it for the money because he couldn't support us with accounting, especially when he didn't have a job yet, and he decided that meant I don't appreciate everything he does. Sometimes, I think there's something wrong with his ears, you know?

He won't stay gone, though. I give him a week, max.

He got mad about your job? Please. What could you possibly be doing in construction that he would get that upset about?

Oh, new company. No permits. Much more money, though. Won't have to work as many hours.

I'm not lying. I told him that I had a new job doing demolitions, that he didn't have to be an accountant and I was sorry I made him waste all that time and money getting a degree that he didn't actually want, but since I'm going to be working less hours he could go to school for something he actually likes.

But you know that thing he does where you say one thing and he planned on you saying something entirely different, and then proceeds to berate you for what he wanted you to have said? I don't know what words he put in my mouth this time, so if you want to know why he's gone, maybe he'll talk to you. He's blocked me.
